Sustainable and inclusive development is critical for a peaceful and prosperous world, and gender equity is key to achieving sustainability. At Catalyse Change we focus on ways to inspire, empower and upskill young women as the next generation of changemakers. Providing them with inspiration and knowledge ‘to be the change they wish to see' in the world
Our sustainability empowerment & green careers programme inspires, empowers and upskills young women & non-binary changemakers. Our flagship Catalyst Summit & Mentoring programme runs from July to December. We also run Sustainability Empowerment and Green Career masterclasses & online courses throughout the year.
Gender inequality remains a key challenge. In the workplace, the gender pay gap is a real issue, and men continue to fill the majority of the highest-paid and most senior roles. Women also continue to be under-represented in leadership roles, in particular, those that influence policy. Yet, as identified by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, gender equality is key to creating an inclusive and sustainable world.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development aims to end poverty, combat inequalities and promote prosperity while protecting the environment. “Women and girls make up more than half the world’s population — and they are on the frontlines — often more deeply impacted than men and boys by poverty, climate change, food insecurity, lack of healthcare, and global economic crises. Their contributions and leadership are central to finding a solution.”
