New work experience opportunities for female change makers
COP26 in Glasgow amplified the urgency for decisive action on our climate and ecological crisis. Now, more than ever, we need young people who are inspired, empowered and skilled to help keep global temperatures below 2C.
To support this Catalyse Change are launching a new work experience programme for young women – 18-24 yrs – in partnership with ERM, Vattenfall and Burges-Salmon.
We will provide sustainability work placements and training next year for our young women – or catalysts – as the next stage on their sustainability learning and mentoring journey with us.
These work experience placements will enable the catalysts to gain valuable insights and skills into sustainability and green careers, from renewable energy to environmental consultancy, setting them on a clear pathway to becoming sustainability changemakers.
Our aim is to directly support 100 catalysts on our 2021/22 programme. At least one third of these will be from less advantaged and underrepresented backgrounds and communities.
During this first phase pilot our mission – is to place at least ten catalysts into green jobs – from our current Catalyse Change mentoring programme. All are welcome to get in touch and register their interest.
We are also seeking a small collective of forward-thinking businesses and organisations interested in playing a role in taking on one or two of our work experience catalysts. For more information, please get in touch.
