This month we welcome Clara and Hannah as new hosts of the Bristol Young Women’s Catalyst Meet-up.
Given the current pandemic this month’s Meet-up will be virtual. So you are invited to join them by zoom* at 5.30pm on Tuesday 24th March. RSVP here and to get the zoom link
The theme is ‘Stay Connected’ to reflect the changes in people’s priorities during these times of self-isolation, physical distancing and uncertainty.
We hope you can join us in this relaxed, open and safe space to get to know each other and hang out over a cup of tea (or beverage of your choice)
Clara Fung says,
“I’m Project Assistant at Bristol Green Capital Partnership. My involvement in the environmental sustainability sector in Bristol began in September 2019 when I took on an intern position as Sustainability and Research Officer with the Partnership, prior to my current role.
I’m also an amateur community gardener for Edible Bristol, helping out at the urban food growing sites dotted across the city. Outside of work and gardening, I love to do yoga, aerial silks, cooking, cycling, listening to music, reading, learning, making meaningful connections with people and getting involved with my local community.”
Hannah Shepherd says,
“Having worked in communications for international development charities across East Africa and Madagascar, I developed an interest in global narratives around climate issues and the power of grassroots initiatives. I’m excited to share ideas, motivate, and learn from others at the Young Women Catalyst meetups.”
New to the city, I originally joined Bristol Young Women Catalyst Meetup to meet inspirational change makers and find out about initiatives around Bristol. Clara and I not only felt empowered by the group, but that it was a great space to also share our worries and concerns. As an informal conversation, we want young women from all walks of life and professions to join us, share ideas and news. But more than that, we also want to help motivate personal development through a sustainability and climate-focused lens.”
Clara and Hannah are excited to continue Traci’s work hosting the Young Women Catalyst Meet-ups and making them happen. They welcome your thoughts, feelings and suggestions on what you’d like to get out of them.
Any queries about the Meetup or just want to say hi? Send us a message via Meet-Up to Clara at, fung.clara@protonmail.com or Hannah at, hannahshep95@gmail.com
